Procedure

Proceeding as in Reference 19, but substituting 1-[3-bromo-4-(2-ethoxyethoxymethoxy)benzyl]-3-tert-butylurea (1.0 g, 2.9 mmol) and 5-fluoro-2-(2-methoxy-ethoxymethoxy)-3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-benzaldehyde (29 mL, 0.1 mM in toluene, 2.9 mmol) gave 1-tert-butyl-3-[5′-fluoro-3′-formyl-6,2′-bis-(2-methoxyethoxymethoxy)biphenyl-3-ylmethyl]-urea (0.854 g).
