Reaction Steps
General procedure A was followed using N-Boc-isonipecotic acid (0.10 g, 0.44 mmol), HATU (0.22 g, 0.57 mmol), DIPEA (0.38 mL, 2.2 mmol), N-Cbz-ethylenediamine (0.11 g, 0.57 mmol) and DMF (2 mL) to furnish the title compound as a yellow wax (170 mg, 96%), umax (CHCl3)/cm−1 3361, 3024, 2943, 1713, 1683, 1519, 1428, 1236, 1166; m/z (ESI) C21H32N3O5 requires 406.2337, found [M+H]+ 406.2330.
