A mixture of (9R)-9-(4-((tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy)phenyl)-3,4,6,7,8,9-hexahydropyrido[2,1-c][1,2,4]thiadiazine 2,2-dioxide (11.8 g) and 6 M HCl aq. (15.0 mL) in MeOH (100 mL) was stirred at 60° C. for 2 hr. After cooling to room temperature, the precipitate was collected and washed with MeOH to give the title compound (8.04 g) as a white solid.
