Reaction Steps
5-Nitro-isochromen-1-one (1 g, 0.005 mol) and 4-fluoro-benzene methanamine, (2 g, 0.02 mol) were refluxed in methanol (20 mL, 0.5 mol) for 2 hours. The volatiles were removed via rotovapor, and the residue was purified via flash column chromatography (40 g of silica gel, 0-50% EtOAc/Hexane) gave a bright yellow solid. MS m/z (M+H) 299.1
