Reaction Steps
Ethyl 6-chloro-7-(4-(1-(3-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-4-ylcarbamoyl)phenoxy)chroman-4-carboxylate (280 mg, 0.5 mmol) was dissolved in 2:1 tetrahydrofuran/ethanol (3 mL) and treated with sodium hydroxide (2 ml of a 1 N solution, 2.0 mmol) at ambient temperature. After 3 hours, the reaction was diluted with water (20 mL), acidified with 2N HCl (2 mL) and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic phases were dried (sodium sulfate), filtered and the solvent removed under vacuum to provide the title compound (270 mg, 102%).
