Reaction Steps
This compound was prepared according to the procedure B from (2-amino-5,6-dihydro-4H-cyclopenta[b]thiophen-3-yl)-p-tolylmethanone (0.257 g; 1 mmol), methyl-3-benzoylpropionate (0.211 g; 1.1 mmol), chlorotrimethylsilane (0.526 mL; 4 mmol) in DMF (4 mL) for 18 h. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of ethyl acetate (5-50%) in heptane furnished 0.198 g (48%) of the title compound as a yellow oil.
