This compound was prepared according to the procedure B from (2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophen-3-yl)(2-methoxy-4-methylphenyl)methanone (0.602 g; 2 mmol), methyl levulinate (0.282 mL; 2.2 mmol), chlorotrimethylsilane (1.02 mL; 8 mmol) in DMF (8 mL) for 48 h. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of ethyl acetate (5-50%) in heptane furnished 0.631 g (80%) of the title compound as a yellow solid.
