This compound was prepared according to the procedure C from Methyl [2-phenyl-4-p-tolyl-6,7-dihydro-5H-cyclopenta[4,5]thieno[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl]acetate (0.185 g; 0.45 mmol), LHMDS 1N in THF (0.495 mL; 0.495 mmol), 1-iodopropane (0.066 mL; 0.675 mmol) in DMF (1.3 mL) for 18 h. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of ethyl acetate (3-30%) in heptane furnished 0.194 g (95%) of the title compound as a yellow oil.
