This compound was prepared according to the procedure C from methyl [2-methyl-4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro[1]benzothieno[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl]acetate (0.190 g; 0.46 mmol), LHMDS 1N in THF (0.5 mL; 0.5 mmol), 1-iodopropane (0.067 mL; 0.69 mmol) in DMF (1.8 mL) for 18 h. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of ethyl acetate (2-30%) in heptane furnished 0.172 g (82%) of the title compound as a yellow oil.
