This compound was prepared according to the procedure C from methyl [2-methyl-4-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro[1]benzothieno[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl]acetate (0.328 g; 0.83 mmol), LHMDS 1N in THF (1.24 mL; 1.24 mmol), 1-iodopropane (0.162 mL; 1.66 mmol) in DMF (4.1 mL) for 18 h. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of ethyl acetate (3-40%) in heptane furnished 0.300 g (83%) of the title compound as a yellow oil.
