This compound was prepared according to the procedure C from methyl [2-methyl-4-(4-ethylphenyl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro[1]benzothieno[2,3-b]pyridin-3-yl]acetate (0.231 g; 0.61 mmol), LHMDS 1N in THF (0.67 mL; 0.67 mmol), 1-iodopropane (0.089 mL; 0.913 mmol) in DMF (2.4 mL) for 18 h. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel using a gradient of ethyl acetate (3-30%) in heptane furnished 0.197 g (77%) of the title compound as a yellow oil.
