(7-Ethyl-6-(4-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)phenyl)-5-((2-(trimethylsilyl)ethoxy)methyl)-5H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyrazin-2-yl)methanamine (0.250 g, 0.533 mmol, prepared using D from Preparation #5 with (E)-styrylboronic acid, E, F, G and I) in ethyl formate (3.30 mL, 40.5 mmol) was heated to about 65° C. for about 2 h. The mixture was cooled to rt then the solvent was re removed under reduced pressure to give N-((7-ethyl-6-(4-(2-methyl-1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)phenyl)-5-((2-(trimethylsilyl)ethoxy)methyl)-5H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyrazin-2-yl)methyl)formamide (0.265 g, 100%): LC/MS (Table 2, Method b) Rt=2.71 min; MS m/z 497 (M+H)+.
