Into a solution of (S)-tert-butyl 1-oxo-3-phenyl-1-(5-(pyridin-4-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylamino)propan-2-ylcarbamate (0.426 g, 1.00 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (5.0 mL) was injected trifluoroacetic acid (7.44 ml, 100 mmol) and let stir for 3 h. Reaction stripped of solvent. The residue was purified by silica gel flash chromatography (0-10% MeOH/CH2Cl2) to afford (S)-2-amino-3-phenyl-N-(5-(pyridin-4-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)propanamide (0.306 g. 93.9% yield)
