4-Nitrosotetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl 2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropanoate was prepared from tetrahydro-pyran-4-one oxime, lead tetraacetate and pentafluoropropionic acid using conditions of General Method 3. 1H NMR (250 MHz, chloroform-d) δ 4.11-4.30 (2H, m), 3.46-3.83 (2H, m), 2.45-2.73 (2H, m), 1.68-2.02 (2H, m).
