5.21 Grams of Z-Lys(Tos)-Glu(OBzl)-OBzl was dissolved in a mixture of 80 ml of methanol with 20 ml of 10% acetic acid, and a small amount of palladium black was added thereto and stirred overnight under introducing hydrogen gas. After the reaction was completed, the catalyst was removed by vacuum filtration, and the filtrate was distilled under a reduced pressure to obtain the rresidue. To the residue was poured water and was lyophilized to obtain the desired product.
