Reaction Steps
A mixture of 4-(p-chlorophenoxy)-2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline of Example 7, (22.1 g, 0.08 mole), ethyl chloroformate (10.9 g, 0.1 mole) and K2CO3 (22 g) in benzene (250 ml) is refluxed seven hours.
