1-O-benzyl-3-O-t-butyldimethylsilylglycerol (1.63 g) was added to pyridine (6 ml), and the mixture was cooled to 5° C., and mesyl chloride (0.5 ml) was added dropwise thereto, and the resultant mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature.
