1,2-Bis(methylsulfonyl)-1-(2-chloroethyl)-2-[(4-chlorophenoxy)carbonyl]hydrazine (compound 10f) was prepared by reacting compound 2 with 4-chlorophenyl chloroformate using a procedure similar to that employed for compound 10d. The product was recrystallized from ethanol, and the yield was about 54.4% by weight. The Mp was approximately 124-125° C. 1H NMR (acetone-d6): δ 7.5 and 7.3 (4H, 2d, aromatic H), 3.9-4.2 (4H, m, CH2CH2Cl), 3.6 and 3.3 (6H, 2s, 2 CH3SO2).
