Procedure
According to the saponification/peptide coupling steps described in examples 1.7 and 10.6 respectively, starting from 835 mg (1.90 mmol) of methyl 5-{4-chloro-3-[3-(dimethylamino)propoxy]phenyl}-6-(2-methylphenyl)nicotinate and 258 mg (1.97 mmol) of racemic 3-amino-4-methylpentanoic acid, we obtain 130 mg of 3-({[5-{4-chloro-3-[3-(dimethylamino)propoxy]phenyl}-6-(2-methylphenyl)pyridin-3-yl]carbonyl}amino)-4-methylpentanoic acid hydrochloride in the form of a white solid.
