To a solution of Step 3 intermediate (700 mg, 1.810 mmol) in acetonitrile (10 ml) was added N-iodosuccinimide (641 mg, 2.841 mmol) and reacted according to the procedure described in Step 4, Intermediate 2 to afford 600 mg of the desired compound; 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 0.31-0.33 (m, 2H), 0.53-0.56 (m, 2H), 1.22 (br s, 1H), 2.43 (s, 3H), 3.76-3.81 (m, 2H), 3.81 (s, 3H), 7.05-7.11 (m, 2H), 7.25-7.28 (m, 1H), 7.51 (d, J=15.6 Hz, 1H), 7.80 (s, 1H), 8.14 (d, J=15.6 Hz, 1H); ESI-MS (m/z) 495.10 (M+H)+.
