A solution of the intermediate from Step C (8.84 g, 12.43 mmol) in THF (600 mL) and DBU (3.75 mL, 24.86 mmol) was heated at 50° C. for 2.5 hr. The volatiles were removed, and the crude material was purified by column chromatography [(6% methanol/EtOAc)/EtOAC 0 to 66% for 2900 mL, then 66% to 80% for 1200 mL] to give the title compound.
