With a method similar to that used for the preparation of 4-(4-{5-[(4-chloro-benzo[b]thiophene-2-carbonyl)-amino]-pyridin-2-yl}-piperazin-1-yl)-2,2-dimethyl-4-oxo-butyric acid, 4-(4-{4-[(1-ethyl-4-methyl-1H-indole-2-carbonyl)-amino]-phenyl}-piperidin-1-yl)-2,2-dimethyl-4-oxo-butyric acid was prepared from 1-ethyl-4-methyl-1H-indole-2-carboxylic acid (4-piperidin-4-yl-phenyl)-amide and 2,2-dimethylsuccinic anhydride. LCMS for C29H35N3O4 calcd. (m/e) 489, observed 490 (M+H).
