Reaction Steps
18 g of 2,6-dichloro-3,5-difluoro-4-nitrophenol are hydrogenated in 100 ml of methanol in the presence of 1.5 g of Raney nickel at 25°-45° C. and 30-50 bar of hydrogen, until hydrogen is no longer taken up. After filtration, the solution is freed from the solvent under reduced pressure. 13 g of aminophenol remain (GC purity 98.4%); m.p. 151° C.
