Procedure
108.8 g of behenic acid and 24.8 g of calcium hydroxide were stirred at 60° to 70° C., followed by the addition of 0.4% of acetic acid. The total stirring time was 15 minutes. During the reaction, the temperature rose to 90° C. A whitish, fine, loose powder having a Ca content of 10.1%, a melting temperature of 140 to more than 250° C., and an acid value of 4.3 was obtained.
