Procedure

1.70 g (9.55 mmole) 5-Difluoromethoxy-3-hydrazino-1-methylpyrazole and 1.62 g (9.55 mmole) ethyl ethoxymethylenecyanoacetate in 30 ml ethanol was stirred for 1 hour at boiling point. After cooling the precipitated product was filtered off, washed with a little ethanol and dried.
