The title compound was prepared from 2-chlorobenzimidazole and 2,2-bis(4-chlorophenyl)ethylamine (prepared by Procedure B from 2,2-bis(4-chloro-phenyl)acetaldehyde) by Procedure A (20 min at 170° C.). The product was isolated by preparative LCMS to give the title compound as the free base (white solid, mp 189-190° C.). MS(ES+) m/z 382 ([M+1]+, 100). 1NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 3.91 (m, 2H), 4.47 (t, 1H), 6.52 (m, 1H), 6.81-6.90 (m, 2H), 7.06-7.18 (m, 2H), 7.33-7.36 (m, 8H), 10.6 (s, 1 H).
