Procedure
A solution of 2.44 g. of the product from Example 5 in 50 ml of methanol is cooled to -10° and a stream of dry ammonia gas is introduced. When the increase in weight of the absorbed ammonia is 3.4 g., the addition is stopped, the flask is sealed, and kept at 20°-25° for 24 hours. The solid that separates is filtered and recrystallized from 2-propanol to give the named compound as colorless needles.
