Reaction Steps
By treating 5-amino-4-sec.butylamino-6-mercapto-2-methylpyridine-3-carboxylic acid, ethyl ester with sodium nitrite in acetic acid as described in Example 1 e, 7-(sec.-butylamino)-5-methyl[1,2,3]thiadiazolo[5,4-b]pyridine-6-carboxylic acid, ethyl ester is obtained, yield 72% m.p. 48°-50° (ether).
