Thionyl chloride (available from Aldrich) (4.46 g, 37.5 mmol) was added to a solution or 66.63A in DCM (6 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours and then at 50° C. for 3 hours. After removing solvent, the residue was purified by flash chromatography (silica gel, 1:9 EtOAc/hexane) and gave 66.69A (386 mg) as a colorless oil.
