A mixture of N-[3-bromo-5-(3-cyano-2-methyl-5-oxo-7-propyl-1,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-quinolin-4-yl)-2-(3-nitro-benzyloxy)-phenyl]-methanesulfonamide (950 mg) and sodium sulfide (350 mg) in ethanol (12 ml) and water (250 μl) was heated at reflux for 2 h. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with water. The organic layer was dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo.
