To a solution of 7-bromo-3-2-[5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl]ethyl-9-pentyl-6,9-dihydro-5H-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]purin-5-one (190 mg, 0.36 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (12 mL) was added a solution of BBr3 in CH2Cl2 (1 M, 7.0 ml, 7.0 mmol) at room temperature. After stirring at room temperature overnight, the reaction mixture was concentrated and purified by preparative LCMS to give the desired product. LCMS calculated for C21H22BrN8O3 (M+H): 513.1, 515.1. found: 513.1, 515.1.
