(Trimethylsilyl)diazomethane (2.0 M in ether; 173 μL, 0.35 mmol) was added to a solution of (6S,9R)-9-[(tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino]-6-(2,3-difluorophenyl)-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-imidazo[1,2-a]azepine-3-carboxylic acid (47 mg, 0.12 mmol) in dichloromethane (1.5 mL) and methanol (0.5 mL). After 1 h, additional (trimethylsilyl)diazomethane (2.0 M in diethyl ether; 50 μL, 0.10 mmol) was added. After 4 h, the reaction mixture was concentrated. MS 422.2 (M+1).
