Compound 163 was synthesized using spiro[naphtho[1,2-b][1,4]oxathiine-2,4′-piperidine]-5,6-dione, 2-benzyloxirane and conditions outlined in procedure X. M.p.=70-73° C.; 400 MHz 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ: 8.05 (d, 1H), 7.75 (d, 1H), 7.65 (t, 1H), 7.5 (t, 1H), 7.35-7.2 (m, 5H), 3.95 (m, 1H), 2.95-2.8 (m, 5H), 2.75-2.65 (m, 3H), 2.5-2.35 (m, 3H), 2.1 (d, 2H), 1.95-1.75 (m, 2H); LCMS: 436 [M+H].
