The compound (0.52 g, 1.10 mmol) obtained in Step (i) and manganese dioxide (0.95 g, 11.0 mmol) were added to chloroform (20 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 15 hours. The mixture was filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated. The residue was purified by silica gel column (chloroform/methanol=100/1 to 50/1) to give the subtitle compound (0.47 g, 1.00 mmol) as a white solid. Yield: 92%.
