Reaction Steps
A mixture of 10-bromo-(3-chloro-1-methyl-propyl)-2-trifluoromethyl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-[1,3]oxazolo[4,5h][3]benzazepine hydrochloride (195 mg), 4-methyl-5-(2-methyl-5-quinolinyl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione (130 mg), triethylamine (0.148 ml) and sodium iodide (63 mg) in dry DMF (0.8 ml) was heated at 70° C. for 24 hours. The mixture was cooled to room temperature, diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with 5% NaHCO3. The organic phase was dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated. The residue was purified on silica gel (DCM/MeOH/NH4OH: 100/1.5/0.15). The obtained product was treated with HCl (1N/ether) affording the title compound as a colourless slightly hygroscopic solid (46 mg).
