The title compound was prepared from the product from step 1 (1.3 g, 4.6 mmol) and 4-iododiphenylmethane (2.0 g, 6.9 mmol) using the Step 4 procedure of example 1 with 50% yield (1.1 g). 1HNMR (CDCl3) 1.43 (s, 9H), 3.73 (s, 3H), 3.97 (s, 2H), 5.29 (m, 1H), 5.50 (m, 1H), 6.94 (m, 4H), 7.15 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 2H), 7.20 (m, 3H), 7.30 (m, 4H), MS m/z 448 (M+1).
