Procedure
Following a procedure analogous to the procedure described in Intermediate 5, Step B using methyl 2-chloro-3-{[(2-propen-1-yloxy)carbonyl]amino}benzoate (30 g, 0.11 mol) and 2-chloro-4-methylpyrimidine (15.8 g, 0.12 mol) the title compound of Step B was prepared (29 g, 79.6% yield). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 13.52-13.58 (br, 0.9H), 8.41-8.42 (m, 1H), 8.22-8.27 (m, 1H), 7.28-7.35 (m, 2.2H), 7.21-7.24 (m, 1.2H), 6.85-6.88 (m, 1H), 5.91-6.02 (m, 1H), 5.73 (s, 1H), 5.23-5.40 (m, 2H), 4.66-4.70 (m, 2H).
