Following a procedure analogous to the procedure described in Intermediate 14 using 3-(5-(2-chloropyrimidin-4-yl)-2-isopropylthiazol-4-yl)-2-fluoroaniline (2.5 g, 7.2 mmol) and thiazole-2-sulfonyl chloride (1.45 g, 7.88 mmol) the title compound of Step A was obtained (1.05 g, 30.0% yield). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 11.01 (br. s., 2H), 8.58 (d, J=5.2 Hz, 1H), 8.09 (d, J=3.2 Hz, 1H), 8.01 (d, J=2.8 Hz, 1H), 7.49-7.40 (m, 1H), 7.31-7.25 (m, 1H), 6.88 (d, J=5.6 Hz, 1H), 3.35-3.30 (m, 1H), 1.36 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 6H). MS (ES+): 496 [M+H]+.
