7,8-Dihydro-6H-imidazo[1,5-c]pyrimidin-5-one (0.45 g, 3.28 mmol) was suspended in acetonitrile (4 ml) and 1-bromo-2-fluoroethane (0.326 ml, 4.38 mmol) added. The reaction mixture was heated in a microwave reactor at 160° C. for 1 hour, then the solvent evaporated and the crude reaction mixture purified by silica chromatography eluting with dichloromethane:methanol 9:1 to afford the titled compound.
