Procedure

Analogously to example 10 100 mg (0.20 mmol) 2-Chloro-3-fluoro-α-[(ethylsulfanyl)methyl]-4-methoxy-β-[(2-methylquinolin-5-yl)amino]-α-(trifluoromethyl)benzenethanol in 8 ml dichloromethane are treated with 2 ml of a 1 M solution of boron tribromide in dichloromethane at −30° C. The typical work up after 22 hours at room temperature and chromatography on silica gel (acetone in hexane 50%) yields 26 mg of the desired product.
