Reaction Steps

To a solution of 6-chloro-3-methyl-benzo[d]isothiazol-5-ylamine (46 mg) in pyridine (0.26 mL), was added a solution of 3,4-dimethoxybenzenesulfonyl chloride (35 mg) in pyridine (0.26 mL). The resulting reaction mixture was stirred at RT under nitrogen overnight. The reaction mixture was then diluted with EA, washed well with HCl 1M (pH˜2-3), the organic phase was washed with water, brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and concentrated to yield the title compound as white solid.
