Reductive amination of 6-(piperazin-1-yl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazine with 2,2-difluoro-1,3-benzodioxole-5-carbaldehyde was carried out according to General Synthetic Method 7. The crude product was purified by hplc using a Phenomenex Luna C18 100A, 10 m silica, 21 mm diameter, 150 mm length eluted with decreasingly polar mixtures of water (containing 0.1% aqueous ammonia) and acetonitrile as eluents to give 6-[4-[(2,2-difluoro-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)methyl]piperazin-1-yl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazine.
