To a solution of substituted aniline 27.3 (0.050 g, 0.100 mmol) in DCM (2 mL), was added TEA (0.10 mmol) and pivaloyl chloride (0.0124 mL, 0.100 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred for 16 hours and then concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by medium pressure chromatography (silica gel, 20 to 60% EtOAc:hexanes) to give 30.1 (62 mg). MS ESI (pos.) m/e: 582.2 (M+H).
