A suspension of 8-8 (4.3 g, 7.7 mmol) in 30 mL 1,4-dioxane and hydrazine (7.4 g, 231.1 mmol) was heated in a microwave reactor at 100° C. for 5 mins. The mixture was cooled and concentrated to remove solvents. Toluene 40 mL (×3) was added and removed under vacuum to remove the residual hydrazine. The desired product 8-9 was obtained as a solid.
