Reaction Steps

To a solution of 4-3 (0.02 g, 0.06 mMol) and triethylamine (0.02 mL, 0.2 mMol) in absolute ethanol (0.5 mL) was added acetic anhydride (0.02 mL, 0.2 mMol). The reaction was complete after 10 minutes and was purified directly on a C18 reverse phase HPLC to give 18-1 as a solid. LC/MS (M+1) calculated: 394.5; observed: 394.2
