The procedure of Example 1(a) is followed using 2-bromocyclopentanone and 1,2-propanedithiol to give 2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-2-methyl-5H-cyclopenta-1,4-dithiin as a greenish oil, bp 92.5°-93°/1 mm, Yield 69%. NMR, 1.42 (3d), 1.6-2.2 (2m), 2.2-2.65 (4m), 2.5-3.7 (3m) (CDCl3). IR 2920, 1605, 1420, 1310, 1260, 1125, 870, 720.
