Reaction Steps
6.0 g. of 7-amino-5-diallylamino-2H-[1,2,4]oxadiazolo[2,3-a]-s-triazin-2-one are suspended in 200 ml. of methylene chloride and 10 ml. of triethylamine. The mixture, cooled to about 0° C., is treated while stirring with 3 ml. of furan-2-carboxylic acid chloride in 50 ml. of methylene chloride. After stirring for 1 hour, the mixture is diluted with 100 ml. of water and adjusted to pH 4 with hydrochloric acid. The two phases are separated and the organic phase is dried over magnesium sulfate and evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue is recrystallized from methylene chloride and diethyl ether, there being obtained pure N-{5-diallylamino-2-oxo-2H-[1,2,4]oxadiazolo[2,3-a]-s-triazin-7-yl}-2-furamide having a melting point of 159°-162° C.
