Reaction Steps
The procedure of Example 2 is repeated using 3.0 g of α-(cyclohexylthio)-3,4-dimethoxy benzeneacetonitrile and 2.0 mL of bromo-5-chloropentane. This affords 3.1 g of the desired product as a colorless oil.
