Procedure
169 mg of sodium borohydride are added portionwise to 167 mg of 5-[2-(4-chlorophenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-6-yl]-3,4-dihydro-2H-naphth-1-one dissolved in 15 ml of methanol. The mixture is stirred at ambient temperature for 2 hours and then the solvent is evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue is taken up between water and ethyl acetate. The organic phase is separated by settling, dried over sodium sulphate and concentrated under reduced pressure. 106 mg of compound are obtained.
