Procedure
A solution of 3,6-dichloro-pyridazine-4-carboxylic acid {2-[3-(3-fluoro-benzyl)-ureido]-thiazol-4-ylmethyl}-methyl-amide (235 mg, 0.5 mmol) and MeOH (160 mg, 5 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (10 mL) was added NaOH (20 mg, 0.5 mmol). The mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was dissolved in CH2Cl2+5% MeOH and filtered over a small plug of silica. The volatiles were evaporated and the desired product (230 mg) was obtained as a 5:1 mixture with starting material-3,6-dichloro-pyridazine-4-carboxylic acid {2-[3-(3-fluoro-benzyl)-ureido]-thiazol-4-ylmethyl}-methyl-amide. This mixture was used as such in the subsequent steps.
